
Tips & Tricks – For camping in Ireland
So … before you go .. here are the things that will improve your camping experience … from experience 😉
Essential Clothes:
- Wellies and Crocks
- Wetgear
- Fleeces
- Beanies or woolie hats if camping outside of July and August
- Thermals … as above
- Fleecy campfire blanket (or tent skirt .. more on these later)
Essential other bits
- Head torches
- Plate, bowl, cup, cutlery (sporks are good)
- Washing up basin
- 2 Pots .. 1 medium .. 1 small
- Sharp knife
- Camping stove. See here for some ideas.
- Matches
- First aid kit
- Eco shampoo and body wash
- Hairbrush … maybe …..
- Towel
- Kitchen Roll
- Baby Wipes
Nice to Have
- Citronella Candles
- Picnic blanket for when the sun shines 🙂
- Yoga mat (for folks like me at least)
Handy and Cool
- Kelly Kettle
For Fun
- Deck of cards
- Pass the pigs
- Books of course
- Swimming gear if camping on the coast
- Lego organised in containers (for the children of course)
