Our site is south-facing and overlooks the Shannon Estuary with our emerging woodland in the foreground. The 10 acre woodland features only species native to Ireland. We have created an 800m trail through the woodland which provides a natural wonderland for adults and children alike.

We have a communal camp fire where you can spend your summer evenings under the stars toasting marshmallows and sharing stories with other guests.

Our accommodation offerings consist of 3 cosy cabins with stoves and outdoor fire bowls, 3 furnished canvas bell tents with outdoor fire bowls and 2 unfurnished canvas bell tents.

We provide a choice of toilet and shower facilities. Hot water to the main block is provided through solar panels and a wood stove. Water for this block is provided by rainwater harvesting and our own well. An additional outdoor shower block featuring home-made solar showers is also provided.

We can supply you with wood at a nominal fee for the camp fires.

Washup and laundry facilities consist of a series of sinks and washing lines.

Recycling and composting is encouraged and facilities are provided.

Unfortunately, pets may not stay in any of our accommodation units.

In general, we don’t encourage owners to bring their pets, but exceptions can be made for responsible pet owners. In these cases, pets need to be controlled, for example, dogs must be on a leash at all times plus pooped and scooped 🙂 We ask owners to ensure their pets are well-tethered and are supervised by adults, as we have had instances of dogs breaking free and chasing our free-ranging hens and cats. Sadly one of our kittens didn’t recover from one particular incident.
